Our Vision for Mission Teams:

Through cultural immersion, we hope to raise up leaders who will be missionaries in their own community by providing them with hands-on training and opportunities to take their walk with Christ to a deeper level.

Our Goals/Objectives:

1. Active Hands-On field training for outreach and service
2. Prepared to be service-minded in their own community upon returning home
3. Challenge them to move outside comfort zone
4. Challenge them to take their discipleship to a deeper level through intentional prayer and study
5. Train youth to meet people’s “felt needs”
6. Train youth to be leaders and self-starters
7. Develop youth to be one in Spirit as a Team
8. Active practice of speaking to God and learning to discern His voice

Time is coming nearer for our 4TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT on Saturday, September 11 at Plum Creek Golf Course.  Register a spot for a round of golf, win prizes, and stay for a wonderful lunch.  If you do not like to golf, become a sponsor.  Your participation will help to support youth mission groups as they reach out to other communities in 2010 and 2011.  Bethany Lutheran Mission teams will set out to locations such as Colorado and places affected by natural disasters, such as Iowa, Houston, and other locations.  Your contribution as a sponsor will directly support the costs associated with travel and outreach to people in these communities.

Tournament Details

You can enter as a whole team (limit 4 per team) or just enter yourself and we will get you into a foursome. Course requires collared shirts, soft spikes and golf clubs. No denim allowed. Lunch will be served after the tournament. Golfers need forgiveness too, so we will be selling Mulligans prior to the tournament. (Isn't that like indulgences?)

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

• Closest to the pin
• Longest drive
• First hole in one on every par 3
• Overall Tournament winner

In addition, we will have gift bags and a raffle drawing.
